A glimpse into what we do

A comprehensive approach to PCOS Care.

Functional medicine is an approach targeted at seeing the whole person so that root causes are better assessed and treated. It can be used as a stand alone or in collaboration with other modalities, making it flexible and able to be strongly tailored to each individual's needs.

Most women experience gaps in their care, especially with conditions as complex as PCOS. BF is unique in the care we offer, covering your foundations and your unique hormonal presentations. There is no one-size fits all.

Below is a framework for how we approach each person through out this care process.

Gather Information

We do an in-depth assessment of your lifelong health history to gain an idea of who you uniquely are and what concerns you are wanting help with.

Starting with an intro call (to make sure you are in the right place and we are a good fit!) If you pursue care, you will get access to your patient portal where your forms, labs, etc. will be nested.

Assessments for Care

We utilize many facets when it comes to assessing for care:

  1. An in-depth health history form
  2. Dietary assessments
  3. Cell Blueprint Questionnaire (and others, as needed)
  4. Lifestyle Assessment
  5. Tests: Predominantly this is blood labs, some women need to also do a salivary hormone assessment.

Note: Recurrent blood labs are ESSENTIAL to the accuracy of this work.
This is non-negotiable, as we can't guess and hope for the best results.

What makes Biofemistry's appraoch stand out?
Assessing the activity of your cells and doing evidence-based assessments enables BF to catch commonly missed pieces of information that lead to tailored care and clarity.

Inform & Educate

After we have gathered and assessed the data you have provided, we will get to meet for your Initial visit to share what we have found and give you an idea of how to move forward in improving your health, symptoms, and quality of life.

After your Initial Visit, you will be provided with:

  1. In-depth notes from our meeting
  2. Resources and guides for PCOS
  3. Care plan for getting started (supplements, diet, movement, etc.)
  4. Timeline for care (know when to do labs, meet, or check in.)

Follow-up

Depending on how you choose to pursue care (12-week care plan or one-off visits), we will have visits to check in, track your progress, and finesse our approach to keep you on the up and up.

This includes online check-ins through the portal, virtual check-ups, recurrent labs, additional or specialized testing, as needed. Each month of the initial plan of care will have a more in depth follow up for review labs, prepping you for the next phase of care, and addressing lifestyle needs.

Graduating from care

Be it a goal of getting pregnant naturally, improving lab markers, or feeling like you are "finally yourself again"... we celebrate the progress you have made and look at what's the next best step in supporting your health journey.

My ultimate goal is that you learn enough about yourself, your needs and what works for you, that you can graduate from care.

Much like therapy, there will be times of setbacks, or big life changes that will create a new problem or challenge for your progress or long-term goals. That's how life works - but we are here for you to continue support and help you figure out each new landscape!
